Day 19

Homeward bound and all flights were great and got through Customs with no problems..

Great to be home..

All the travelers were great and the leaders enjoyed having such a great group...

Reunion Date September 8...watch your email..

Day 18

Traveling on the London Tube..our last day in London and the trip

Meeting with Baroness Scott of the House Parliament, she did a short presentation and then answered questions..

Sack lunch in the park..a beautiful day

A tour of the Cabinet War Rooms where Sir Winston Churchill controlled the British troops during WWII..his underground headquarter..

Dinner was Steak pie...it was great..

Our last exciting night was a ride on the London Eye, the largest Ferris wheel on the world..a great view of the whole city, the ride took 30 minutes to go around once, and we even got on and off while it was moving..

Day 17

Headed to Buckingham Palace and the change of the guards after a 2 hour bus tour that was great and our tour guide took us to the place where the guards started the changing and were able to get a first had view of the whole process, even got our pictures taken with one of the Queens guards, which is located at St. James Palace, at least we did not have to fight the crowds.

A full day, next to the Tower of London to view the crown jewels, and many other sites related to the Tower of London..lots of history here...

Had lunch as a Medieval lunch with Henry the VIII, what a great lunch....

A quick cruise down the River Thames, which is an ocean river because of the tides..

Off to Fiddler on the Roof, a great presentation at the Savouy Theater.

Day 16

Off to Oxford University and to explore the Christ Church College, a location used in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie.

Lunch was pizza and great chocolate desert.

Spent the afternoon walking the very famous city and a little bit of store looking..

On to London for the night....

Day 15

Spent the night in Burmingham, real nice hotel...exhausted from a long day..

Today it is ouff to Blenheim Palace near Oxford and currently occupied by John Churchhill the Duke of Marlbourough and has many beautiful gardens as well as being from the 18th century.

This afternoon it was a visit to Sulgrave Manor the ancestral home of the Washington Family in Britain form 1100 to the 1500's.

Had a great tour of the Manor by our guide Alex and the kids got involved in some activities.

Day 14

It is off to Stratford upon Avon to visit William Shakespeare...lots of cool stuff to see about the great man..

Warwick Castle and the middle ages was excellent...and the tower of freight that some students screamed through the whole tower...HA!

Even the torture chamber was scarry...lots of medevil battle swords the the catapult demonstration was great..

Day 13

Weather looked great and then we had some showers but sun came back out...some saw a waterspout in the ocean..

Kayaking in the morning and then exploring the town of Cowes..all is well..

Tonight a ferry back to South Hampton, stay at the Holiday Inn and back to normal and no dorm rooms...but food was great..

Day 14 leave for Stratford on Avon....see you then..
